Sleeper Cell is an intense, one-hour drama series that originally aired on the Showtime network between 2005 and 2006. During its two season run, Sleeper Cell focused on terrorist organizations within the United States. Darwyn Al-Sayeed (played by Michael Ealy) is tasked with infiltrating the sleeper cell that plans on attacking Los Angeles. Faris al-Farik (Oded Fehr) is the Muslim extremist who oversees the cell. Supporting actors include James leGros as Special Agent Ray Fuller, Henri Lubatti as Ilija Korjeni_, Blake Shields as Thomas "Tommy" Allen Emerson, and Melissa Sagemiller as Gayle Bishop. Both seasons of Sleeper Cell aired during a two week period, with new episodes premiering night after night. In 2007, President of Entertainment for Showtime Robert Greenblatt floated the idea of creating new seasons every few years based around entirely new characters.
