Poker After Dark

Poker After Dark, an NBC original reality competition show, features the world's best poker players competing against each other in a high-stakes poker game. Each week, six of the world's poker playing elite buy their way into the game with twenty thousand dollars. Playing at a hotel in Las Vegas, the winner takes home the entire 120,000-dollar prize, and the losers go home with a parting gift. With an inside look into how the game is played, Poker After Dark aims to appeal to the average TV viewer. Playing no-limit Texas hold 'em for the first two seasons, the producers began experimenting with different formats for each of the following seasons. Every season has, however, had voice over narration by Oliver 'Ali' Nejad. Each week, six episodes are shown, five of which following the game from the first shuffle to the winner's last pot. The sixth and final episode of each week is a director's cut of excerpts from the week's game. Airing at 2 AM on NBC, Poker After Dark has achieved solid ratings and strong fan base. MORE
