Beverly Hills 90210

Beverly Hills 90210, starring Jennie Garth, Luke Perry, Ian Ziering, Jason Priestly, Shannen Doherty, Tori Spelling, Gabrielle Carteris, and Brian Austin Green, originally focuses on Brenda and Brandon Walsh, who move to Beverly Hills from Minnesota as high school students. Struggling to adjust to their new upscale lifestyle, the Walshes must make a new group of friends and settle down halfway across the country. Throughout it's run, the show began to focus less on the twin siblings and more on the group of close-knit friends they brought together. As they grow up in the world's most famous zip code, friends Brenda, Brandon, Dylan, Kelly, Donna, Andrea, and Steve face love, betrayal, alcoholism, drug abuse, sexuality, and more. The show was famous for touching upon every kind of social issue of the day. The characters are pitted against racism, homphobia, teen pregnancy, rape, mental illnesses, and even STDs. Although the most notorious love triangle was between Brenda, Dylan and Kelly, the group of friends are constantly dating each other, feuding over love interests, and pining over the other characters. In later seasons, extra characters, such as Janet (Lindsay Price), Val (Tiffani Thiessen), Gina (Vanessa Marcil), and Noah (Vincent Young) are added as love interests but stick around as regular characters. The group spends most of their time at the beach and the Peach Pit, which is turned into a nightclub in later seasons. A sequel show, called simply 90210, started in 2008 and features some of the original cast. In the second season of Beverly Hills 90210, the series begot its spin-off show, Melrose Place. MORE
