Army Wives is a dramatic TV series developed by Lifetime that follows the lives and families of five women as they deal with stresses and challenges of being involved with the US Army, whether as the wife of the soldier or the soldier herself. Each of the characters faces distinct situations while living at Fort Marshall in Charleston, South Carolina. Former lawyer Claudia Joy (Kim Delaney) is a devoted military wife of her husband Major General Michael Holden (Brian McNamara) who focuses on maintaining a role in the civilian activities on the fort as well as raising their two daughters. Denise Sherwood (Catherine Bell) is a nurse dealing with not only the physical distance of her deployed husband but her son’s anger-management issues. Dr. Roland Burton (Sterling K. Brown), the only central army husband, is a psychiatrist trying to handle his wife, Lt. Colonel Joan Burton’s (Wendy Davis), return from Afghanistan and her own stresses as a strong female in the higher ranks of the Army. Pamela Moran (Brigid Brannagh) is a feisty and headstrong former-cop trying to support her family as her Special Forces husband might leave at a moment’s notice and not return for months at a time. Lastly, Roxy LeBlanc (Sally Pressman) is new on the fort, having married her husband Sergeant Trevor LeBlanc (Drew Fuller) in a whirlwind courtship, and is trying to deal with bartending, raising her own two boys, and stressing over just what it means to be an army wife.MORE
