The Andy Griffith Show is the classic CBS sitcom starring Andy Griffith as a widowed sheriff, with dimwitted deputy Barney Fife (Don Knotts), Barney's sweetheart Thelma Lou (Betty Lynn), housekeeper Aunt Bee (Frances Bavier), and his son Opie (Ron Howard).
