The New Adventures of Old Christine is a television series sitcom airing on CBS about recently divorced mother Christine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). She must balance owning her own business, a 30-minute workout gym for women, with raising her son. Complicating matters if her ex-husband Richard's (Clark Gregg) new girlfriend, who is also named Christine, and thus the two are dubbed "New Christine" and "Old Christine" by Richard, giving the show its title. "Old" Christine struggles to keep her life in order with work, a son, a sense that she too must find love after divorce and her discomfort with other moms. She can always rely on her best friend and co-worker Barb (Wanda Sykes) to help her through her day-to day issues. Much of the comedy comes from Christine's hilarious knack for saying and doing inappropriate things at the wrong time, but Christine is still a relatable and likeable character throughout. The series also stars Hamish Linklater as Christine's brother.MORE
