Star Trek: Enterprise, also simply referred to as Enterprise, is an American science fiction television series that aired on United Paramount Network (UPN) from 2001 to 2005. The show was the sixth series in the Star Trek franchise but serves as a prequel to the original Star Trek series, setting the stage for the interstellar saga's first steps into the final frontier. Star of the show is Captain Jonathan Archer, played by Scott Bakula, best known for his role in Quantum Leap. Archer is a bold and principled explorer, eager to guide his crew across new and uncharted star systems. Backing up Captain Archer is the multifaceted crew of the Enterprise NX-01 — the first starship in the history of Earth bearing the name Enterprise. John Billingsley stars as Dr. Phlox, the chief medical officer aboard the Enterprise. An alien from a species known as the Denobulans, Phlox provides a unique outsider perspective on humanity. His character is especially recognized for his unusual, often humorously eccentric, medical practices and infectious curiosity. Jolene Blalock plays the Vulcan science officer, Sub-Commander T'Pol. T'Pol's strictly logical Vulcan perspective clashes frequently with the more human and emotional methods of her colleagues, especially with Captain Archer, creating a dynamic that drives much of the interpersonal drama on the show. She battles with maintaining her stoic Vulcan nature while dealing with her increasing familiarity with human emotions and relationships. Loyal and steadfast Helmsman Ensign Travis Mayweather is played by Anthony Montgomery, and the young, ambitious communications officer Ensign Hoshi Sato is played by Linda Park. Mayweather, a “space boomer,” is valuable for his deep knowledge of interstellar travel, while Sato, a linguist, is tasked with facilitating communication with the various alien species they encounter. Chief Engineer Charles 'Trip' Tucker III, delightfully portrayed by Connor Trinneer, is Captain Archer's long-time friend. His Southern charm, bighearted nature, and ingenuity in dealing with the new technology of the Enterprise provide comic relief and moments of compelling drama. Rounding out the main crew is Lieutenant Malcolm Reed, the armory officer of the Enterprise, portrayed by Dominic Keating. Reed's obsession with ship security and protocols, coupled with a reserved and uptight demeanor, adds another interesting layer to the crew's dynamics. What sets Star Trek: Enterprise apart from the other series in the franchise is its timeframe. The show takes place in the mid-22nd century, significantly earlier than any previous series, a century before the adventures of Captain James T. Kirk. The time setting exposes viewers to a period when humanity was just beginning to venture beyond their own solar system and into the wider galaxy, giving the series a unique frontier-vibe, less polished than its users. Throughout the series' 98 episodes across four seasons, the audiences follow the crew of the NX-01 on their adventures, as they navigate diplomatic disputes, avoid interstellar conflicts, explore unknown regions, and make first contact with new lifeforms. The series depicts humanity's earliest attempts at forging alliances and dealing with rivalries among the stars, setting the stage for the United Federation of Planets that becomes the central institution in later series. Star Trek: Enterprise portrays the pioneering spirit of exploration and the push towards peace and unity amongst a diversified universe. Packed with suspense, drama, humor, and the awe-inspiring sense of discovery, Enterprise is a must-watch for any Star Trek fans wanting to know how the adventure began.

Star Trek: Enterprise is a series categorized as a canceled. Spanning 4 seasons with a total of 100 episodes, the show debuted on 2001. The series has earned a moderate reviews from both critics and viewers. The IMDb score stands at 7.5.
