Eli Stone

Eli Stone is a TV show about a lawyer of the same name (Jonny Lee Miller) who begins to have visions compelling him to do things considered out of the ordinary. Eli works at the firm of Jordan Weathersby (Victor Garber), and has adhered to company policy of taking big cases with big corporations. His boss' daughter also happens to be his ex-fiancee, Taylor Weathersby (Natasha Henstridge). At first, he consults his neurologist brother Nathan (Matt Letscher) only to be told he's perfectly fine, but a Chinese acupuncturist has different answers for him. Through his work with Dr. Chen (James Saito), Eli's visions become even more vivid, affecting his personal and professional life. Nathan revises his diagnosis when he discovers that Eli has an inoperable brain aneurysm, which seems to be what's causing his visions. Eli is used to taking big cases worth lots of money, but his visions lead him to financially weak cases with moral goodness in its place, a transition his boss isn't happy about. Also displeased about the cases Eli has turned towards is Maggie Dekker (Julie Gonzalo), an ambitious junior associate. Supporting Eli are his assistant Patti (Loretta Devine) and his brother as he contends with how his visions are affecting his life, particularly in the workplace, and the realization that he may indeed be a prophet.
