The plot of Turn revolves around Abe Woodhull, who's played by Jamie Bell, a farmer living in British-occupied Long Island. Turn does an excellent job captivating the audience with its layered storytelling, presenting historical events and figures in an authentic, approachable manner. It brings the viewer close into the intricate web of war politics, espionage, and loyalty, frequently testing the characters' tranquility with reality's harsh nature.

The series also handily dives into the lives, conflicts, and choices of the other members of the Culper Ring, including the committed Benjamin Tallmadge, the daring Caleb Brewster, and the intelligent Anna Strong, offering a comprehensive perspective of the group's adventures and hardships. The thriller aspect ramps up as they navigate through lies, betrayals, and perilous missions, with the British forces always on their tail.
