Welcoming you deep into the realm where few dare to tread, Animal Planet's docu-series, Predators Up Close with Joel Lambert, which ran from 2015 to 2016, presents a thrilling exploration into the animal kingdom with a special focus on its predatory behemoths. Viewers can expect an awe-inspiring concoction of entertainment, education, and adrenaline as host Joel Lambert takes them on an adventure to gain firsthand knowledge of some of the Earth’s most dangerous predators.

Joel Lambert, a former United States Navy SEAL, is a trained survivalist who is no stranger to danger. Having demonstrated his prowess in extreme environments, Lambert is the perfect guide for this daring journey to study and interact with a variety of apex predators in their natural habitats. Yet, rather than evading these predators, Lambert welcomes close encounters with them in a bid to learn, understand, and ultimately, spread awareness and respect for these mighty creatures and their roles in our planet’s ecosystems.

Each episode features Lambert setting off on epic adventures to different parts of the globe, from dense jungles to deep oceans. Accompanied by a team of scientifically skilled professionals, they set out not only to track these predators, but to study their hunting strategies, survival techniques, behavioural patterns, and overall biology. Whether it's swimming with sharks in New Zealand, tracking leopards in Namibia, facing off with American black bears, or coming face-to-face with polar bears in Canada – the intensity and thrill of each episode are palpable.

However, Predators Up Close is not a mere adrenaline-fueled venture. It aims to showcase the intrinsic value these predators carry within their ecosystems, underlining their importance beyond their threatening displays of power. The show promotes enlightenment and understanding of the roles that these predators play and the necessity of their survival. Here, Lambert doesn’t play the role of a daredevil, instead, he takes up the mantle of a passionate wildlife enthusiast who yearns to share the wonders of the natural world with viewers – with a particular immensely captivating focus on its most lethal predators.

In addition to being up close and personal with apex predators, viewers also get glimpses of advanced technological tools and devices used to track these creatures. From night vision optics to aerial drones, Lambert and his crew employ an array of innovative instruments to closely study and document the behavior of these beasts while ensuring their safety. These modern technologies not only advance the production value but also lend credibility to the reality and scientific accuracy of the series.

The cinematography is another standout aspect of Predators Up Close. The show witnesses impeccable and breathtaking shots of majestic animals in their natural habitats, accentuated with incredibly detailed close-ups during their most savage moments. The raw and brutal beauty of nature is never more apparent than when watching a predator in action, and the series brings this spectacle directly to your screens in high definition.

Furthermore, Predators Up Close manages to weave conservation threads into its narrative, emphasizing the need to preserve and protect these animals' habitats. It shows the viewers the problems caused by human encroachment and climate change, challenging them to rethink their attitudes towards these predators and the environment they inhabit.

As much a captivating thrill ride as it is a call to awareness and appreciation, Predators Up Close with Joel Lambert brings a new dimension to wildlife-edutainment. Whether you're an adrenaline junkie, a wildlife enthusiast, a student of nature, or just looking for an intriguing piece of quality content, this series is one worthy of your attention.
