The Way

Tom heads to Spain with the plan of bringing Daniel's ashes back home, however, upon reaching, he decides to scatter the ashes along the 800 kilometers stretch from the French Pyrenees to the Spanish coast, which his son was supposed to walk.

This physical journey, for Tom Avery, soon morphs into a spiritual and emotional quest for reconciliation and understanding—a trajectory to cope with regret, loss, and the questions of life left unanswered. It is on this pilgrimage that Tom finds himself reluctantly joined by three other travelers: Sarah (Deborah Kara Unger), a Canadian with her own ghosts to exorcise, Joost (Yorick Van Wageningen), a gregarious Dutchman on a physical health quest and James (James Nesbitt), an Irish author with a writer’s block.
