Riddick

Betrayed, left for dead, and marooned on a desolate planet, the eponymous anti-hero of Riddick returns to the big screen in 2013 with actor Vin Diesel reprising his iconic role. Riddick is the third film in the series which began with 'Pitch Black' (2000), followed by 'The Chronicles of Riddick' (2004), all starring Diesel in the protagonist role as Riddick, a notorious extraterrestrial criminal turned reluctant hero.

This 2013 sci-fi thriller, directed by the series stalwart, David Twohy, delves deeper into a universe both savage and strange, shedding light onto Riddick's character, while still making room for plenty of action-packed sequences, breathtaking spectacles of alien environments, spine-chilling intergalactic creatures, and high-octane fights.

Now, Riddick finds himself in the middle of a dangerous crossfire and a much larger game of survival among the planet's hostile inhabitants, mercenaries, bounty hunters and his old nemesis who are seeking their own purposes.

Karl Urban, reprising his role as Vaako, brings his own charisma and gravitas to the screen. His interactions with Riddick give another layer of intrigue and subtlety to the complex Galactic underworld politics. Complementing the experienced cast is Katee Sackhoff, who introduces a bold new character named Dahl, a tough-as-nails mercenary with her own motivations that catch Riddick's attention. Sackhoff brings a rare mix of toughness and femininity into this testosterone-drenched world, lingering as a splendid counterpoint to Diesel’s charismatic machismo.
