Midnight Family

Midnight Family, a medical drama in Spanish, first graced the screens on Apple TV on September 25, 2024. The lead character, Marigaby Tamayo (played by Renata Vaca), is a talented and driven medical student by day. Yet, when the sun goes down, she races through Mexico City, working with her family to manage extreme medical emergencies inside their privately owned ambulance. Her family includes her father, Ramon (played by Joaquin Cosio), and her siblings, Marcus (played by Diego Calva), and Julito (played by Sergio Bautista). A whole host of Hispanic acting talent, including Jose Maria de Tavira, Itzan Escamilla, Mariana Gomez, Dolores Heredia, with guest star Yalitza Aparicio, breathe life into the series.

The creators modeled Midnight Family after an award-winning documentary bearing the same name. The show is a product of Fremantle and Fabula's collaboration for Apple TV. Notable figures Juan de Dios Larrain and Pablo Larrain from Fabula, the enterprise behind the Oscar-winning film A Fantastic Woman, played a significant role in producing the series. Angela Poblete, Mariane Hartard, Natalia Beristain, Rodrigo Herranz, Christian Vesper, Luke Lorentzen, Kellen Quinn, Josh Braun, and Jonathan Bouzali served as executive producers as well.

There are ten episodes in the series, with the initial two making their debut on September 25, 2024. From there on, viewers could enjoy a fresh episode every Wednesday, culminating on November 20, 2024. Each installment runs for around 55 minutes. As an Apple TV exclusive, Midnight Family, a show rated TV-MA, can only be viewed on this platform. It's entirely in Spanish but offers English subtitles for non-Spanish speakers.
