Candy Crush, which debuted on CBS in 2017, brought the outrageously popular mobile game to television screens, presenting the colorfully vibrant puzzle game in an interactive format complete with physical challenges. CBS's Candy Crush is a one-hour, live-action game show series created and produced by Lionsgate Television and King.com, Ltd. The series was based on the global video game phenomenon of the same name that has been downloaded more than 2 billion times across all platforms as of its television adaptation.

In this stimulating and high-octane game show, teams of two utilised their wits and physical agility to compete on immense, interactive game boards. The series uniquely creates an extraordinary competition that educated and thrilled both long-time fans of the Candy Crush series and even those unfamiliar with this wildly popular phenomenon. The show hosted by the well-renowned and charismatic figure, Mario Lopez, who brought energy, fun, and the requisite playful tension to the proceedings.

The rules of this enticing game are simple but require strategy, skill, and a high level of teamwork. There are four teams, each consisting of two participants. The participants have to make their way through the qualifying stage where they compete on a 15ft interactive touch screen (the largest ever used on a TV series, according to CBS) to match colourful candies and win points. This requires the contestants to physically swipe and move, similar to the original mobile game, across the gigantic screen to align the candies and score points.

Once teams complete this initial phase, winners progress to the ultimate challenge where they face the colossal, interactive game board. In this round, the team members are suspended via harnesses and must work collaboratively to match candy combinations from the original game. These stunts and physical exertions from the participants elevate the gaming experience from a mere finger swiping on mobile screens to an adventurous and exhilarating reality.

The audience can expect themselves plunged into a world overflowing with radiant colours, engaging sound bites, and occasionally gravity-defying physical feats only to be captivated by how well the show mimics the essence of the original game - addictive, stimulating, and fun.

Moreover, Candy Crush integrates seamlessly known celebrities and interesting everyday people competing in these challenges making it engaging and suspense-packed reality show. The commendable feature of the show is its ability to cater extensively to the gaming community and the general audience alike. Its stunning graphics, thrilling challenges, and infectious competition feed the Candy Crush fever, promising an hour-long escapade of fun-filled entertainment.

The creators' brilliant attempt to translate a small screen addictive game into a larger-than-life, physical reality show remarkably captures the essence and simplicity of the game, making it a must-watch for Candy Crush enthusiasts and gamers. However, for those unfamiliar with the game, it serves as an entertaining introduction to the world of Candy Crush, delivered in a larger-than-life, visually mesmerizing format. Its intent is clear: to extend the joys of mobile gaming into family rooms across the country by adapting digital entertainment to a broadcast medium.

Ultimately, Candy Crush on CBS offers an extraordinary exploration of a widely recognized digital game into a physical and intensely riveting game show. It challenges the traditional norms of television entertainment, combining elements of digital gaming, physical reality, and competitive spirit. Offering a thrillingly interactive experience that leaves audiences on the edge of their seats, Candy Crush is a vibrant spectacle of puzzle-solving, teamwork, and rivalry.
