In the movie Double Dragon from 1994, Los Angeles in the post-apocalyptic future is a city that is divided into two parts. As the brothers are out in town one day, Shuko and his henchmen confront them in their quest to obtain the other half of the medallion. The brothers then team up with a feisty vigilante, Marian Delario (Alyssa Milano), to retrieve the stolen half of the medallion and stop Shuko from achieving his evil intentions. Jimmy and Billy's journey takes them through the grimy streets of the city as they battle their way through Shuko's thugs and henchmen. Along the way, they discover an underground city, which serves as a place of refuge for those who are struggling to survive in the slums. The city is ruled by a group of bike-riding rebels led by a charismatic fighter, named 'Bo' Abobo (Marc Dacascos). As they negotiate their way through the neon-lit underground biker hangouts, the brothers must do battle with a host of evil characters including the shape shifting female assassin, Linda Lash (Kristina Wagner) and the oversized mutant, Abobo.
