Zorro's Fighting Legion

Zorro's Fighting Legion is a 12 chapter serial film from 1929 that was made by Republic Pictures. Zorro is played by Reed Hadley. This is one of the better action serials of the 30s and features a large cast and a lot of action throughout its 12 chapters. In the serial Zorro (as his alter Don Diego) must fight against the evil Don Del Oro. Each episodes trademark was the sudden death of a native informant. Every informant would be in the midst of saying 'Don Del Oro' when a sudden golden arrow would fly out of now where, killing the informant before saying any more. All the classic moments of a B serial film are here: The collapsing rope bridge, deep chasms to jump, explosions, coach fires, wagons falling and incredible horse stunts by the famous Yakima Cannutt and the Yrigoyens, Bill and Joe. And in the last chapter Zorro rides triumphantly off into the sunset, of course. MORE
