We know what you’re thinking: how can I start sharing and discovering Internet TV with my friends? It’s lucky you’re thinking that– because we’ve assembled a kick-ass visual guide to Clicker Social just for you. Here’s what you can do:
Create your account and customize your Profile. We’ll start you out with some great Clicker editorial accounts to follow, but you’ve got details to fill in. Pick a great picture, add your personal information, and then start exploring. Here you’ll see your playlist, your viewing history, your awards, your followers and who’s following you all in one simple, centralized place.
Find and follow friends to see their ratings and check-ins. After all, it’s not Clicker Social unless there are other people, right? Use Facebook and (soon to come) Twitter OAuth to add the people you’re friends with already!
Check out ‘Clicker Right Now’ on the Clicker homepage to see the latest recommendations from your friends. See what they’re watching, what they love (and what they don’t), and awards they’ve earned, and more in real-time!
Manage your Playlist by adding the content you want to follow (even sign up for updates whenever a new episode comes online!)– and discover all your friends’ favorite shows, movies, and more. Check-in! Watching something? Share it. Whether it’s online, on TV, in a movie theater, or over your mobile phone, we’ve got you covered. The more you check-in, the more your friends will know what you’re into. Plus, checking in might just earn you Clicker Awards.
Earn Clicker Awards! How? By checking in to what your watching and discovering the “right” combination of shows, you’ll be rewarded for your taste, dedication, and even bravery. We’ve worked with some great partners and slaved over hot keyboards to create hundreds of these Awards, but they won’t all be easy to win. Some will require upwards of thirty check-ins to a show (or multiple shows), meaning you’ll have to be one dedicated viewer.
Love It! (Or Don’t.) On every show, movie and episode page on Clicker you’ll see these great rating buttons. Voice your opinion and then add a comment to get conversations started.
Curate your History. Your check-ins and awards will be front and center in your Profile history. So are your ratings, so set forth and find your favorite shows, episodes and movies. When your friends do the same, things gets really interesting. On every profile is an Activity Stream tab where you’ll see all of the actions your friends are taking. Follow this carefully for some great recommendations.
And, go Mobile! With Clicker’s new mobile apps for the Android and iPhone (coming soon) you’ll be able to connect with Clicker anywhere at anytime—and able to distinguish between which videos are playable on your device and which aren’t. Sweet deal, huh?
