Song of Texas

In the 1943 Western musical film, Song of Texas, Roy Rogers plays a dual role of a famous singing cowboy named Roy Rogers and his lookalike cousin, Dave. The movie was directed by Joseph Kane and produced by Edward J. White.

In the process, Roy falls in love with Anne but is unable to declare his love to her as she thinks he is his cousin Dave. However, their schemes hit a snag when Roy is kidnapped by the villains, who realize the deception.

Trigger, Roy's horse, also has a significant role in the movie as he saves Roy from danger multiple times. Trigger was an integral part of many of Rogers' movies, and Song of Texas was no exception.

The movie features several excellent musical performances by Rogers, including "Song of the San Joaquin," "Ride, Ride, Ride," and "Lonely Little Cabin."
