Return to the Lost World

A scientist and some colleagues return to the Lost World to dig for some valuable oil. When they arrive they actually begin putting the natives into slavery for labor. They also through the native's chief off of a plateau to ensure no uprising or any sort of confrontation.

The chief did not perish when he fell but did receive some injuries. He is saved and taken to a nearby village to seek some medical treatment so that he may heal. Meanwhile in England two professors are reminded that they had made a promise to return to the Lost World should an event rise that they would be needed. However the two have had a falling out and are no longer on speaking terms. They refuse to go to the lost world together.

They are tricked into thinking the other is not going and encounter each other on the steamboat on their way to Africa. Though the tension between the two rises to an utmost high they reach the bottom of the plateau where the Chief was found.

During the expedition for oil the crew is attacked by a Tyrannosaurus that causes the workers to accidentally activate a volcanic eruption. The eruption is so massive it threatens to destroy the entire plateau. The chief's daughter is held captive and her life threaten for information how to leave the plateau. There plane had been damaged in the eruption and they have no more options to leave so they try and get information from the natives.

In the end the Chief's daughter is saved by the two professors who work out their differences. They also are able to interrupt the volcanic eruption with a newly invented type of explosive. They had vowed to keep the Lost World safe from human intervention. They wonder together how long that could possibly happen for. Now that all is safe and peaceful again it is time to figure out how to keep this same situation from arising once again.
