Peter: The Redemption

Peter: The Redemption is a 2016 film starring John Rhys-Davies, Stephen Baldwin, and Bobbie Phillips. Jesus tells Peter to cast his net on the other side of the boat, and they catch a large number of fish. Peter is amazed and realizes that it is Jesus. He jumps out of the boat and swims to shore to be with Jesus.

The film then follows Peter as he spends time with Jesus and the other disciples. We see him struggle with his guilt and shame, but he also begins to understand the forgiveness and love of Jesus. The film does an excellent job of showing Peter's transformation from a broken and guilt-ridden man to a confident and faithful disciple.

One of the most compelling scenes in the film is when Jesus appears to Peter and the other disciples on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. Jesus asks Peter three times if he loves Him, just as Peter denied Him three times. It is a powerful scene that shows the forgiveness and love of Jesus.

Throughout the film, we also see Peter's relationship with Paul, who he initially despises. Paul is a new disciple of Jesus and is spreading the gospel throughout the world. Peter doesn't initially trust him, but as they spend more time together, their relationship grows. It is a great sub-plot that adds depth to the film.

The acting in the film is excellent, particularly by John Rhys-Davies, who plays Peter. His portrayal of Peter is nuanced and powerful, capturing the complexity of the character's emotions. Stephen Baldwin also does an excellent job as Paul, bringing depth and empathy to the role.
