An anthology series with the tie between seasons being the issue of the sexual escapades of neighbors living on Appleby Drive, a cul-de-sac in Leeds, England. In season 1, kindergarten teacher Evie and investigative reporter Pete are a straight-laced couple whose outlook on life is shaped in large part by Evie's fundamentalist upbringing. They move in next door to yogina Becka and police officer Danny, who have an open marriage but who only play together under well-defined rules. Evie and Pete are brought into Becka and Danny's sexual world, the former couple who may not be as well equipped to handle it as they portray themselves to be. Their world as a foursome is affected by Danny and Pete's professional lives intersecting, and Becka unknowingly being stalked by a fellow married neighbor. In season 2, cardiac surgeon Lotte and anesthesiologist Jacob have been married for twenty years, and went through university and often work together. Their professional lives have overtaken their personal lives which has stagnated as a result. Their staid world is shaken up with the arrival of scrub nurse Mia at the hospital, she, having just moved from Norway, breaking the unofficial guidelines of the doctors and administrative staff on one side, and the nurses and other hospital staff on the other, not fraternizing with each other as Mia moves into the house next door to Lotte and Jacob. Hiding issues from her past, Mia being a sexual aggressor is only one of the issues affecting Lotte
