Set against the backdrop of Israel's most renowned intelligence institution, the series revolves around a highly secretive training course known as the seminary, designed to prepare recruits for entry into Mossad. It's an institution that breeds the world's top-secret agents and the series explores the recruitment and training process.

"Mossad 101" embraces the covert nature of espionage along with the political dynamics, a complex moral landscape, and high-stakes drama inherent in the world of international spying. The series starts with a diverse group of recruits brought into the seminary. They come from various backgrounds, sexes, and religions, each selected for their unique skill set. Some are scholars, others are tech wizards, while some possess an uncanny ability to spot lies; each recruit has something special to bring to the table. Although Mossad has historically been a male-dominated institution, the show doesn't shy away from presenting a range of strong female characters, showing the progression of the agency with time.

All recruits are put through a rigorous training routine conducted by Yona, a grizzled Mossad veteran. Yona assumes the role of the tough and enigmatic mentor, displaying a combination of ruthlessness and cunning that balances well with his teaching methods. His complex and sometimes questionable training techniques often put him at odds with the agency's superiors, leading to an intriguing subplot of office politics and power struggles.

As the series progresses, the recruits are subjected to various tests – surveillance activities, undercover missions, intense psychological and physical drills, and assessment of their loyalty and grit. The recruits are often pitted against one another and their own personal demons, testing their mental strength, endurance, and dedication to the cause.

"Mossad 101" delves not just into the professional lives of its characters, but their personal lives as well. The show may be about espionage, but it never forgets its characters are human, vulnerable, flawed, and often funny.
