Generator Rex

Generator Rex is an animated series that aired on Cartoon Network from 2010 to 2013. Produced by Man of Action Studios (of Ben 10 and Big Hero 6 fame) in association with Cartoon Network Studios, the show revels in a blend of science fiction, action, and drama to tell the unforgettable story of Rex Salazar.

Unlike other people infected with active nanites who lose control and transform into horrific E.V.O.s, Rex has the unique ability to control his nanites. This allows him to not only prevent his transformation into an E.V.O but to use the nanites to build a variety of different machines within his body - thus gaining remarkable abilities and making him an invaluable asset to humanity.

Rex belongs to Providence, a global organization led by the enigmatic Agent Six and stern Dr. Holiday. This organization is committed to dealing with the E.V.O. threat, maintaining peace, and finding a permanent solution to the troubling Nanite infection. As Providence's most potent weapon, Rex battles E.V.O.s to keep humanity safe, all while grappling with the ups and downs of teenage life.

However, Rex is more than just an E.V.O.-fighting machine. An important element to the narrative is his amnesia. Having lost his memory from before the Event, Rex is often in search of information about his past and his family.
