Wrath of Gods

The making of the Icelandic movie Beowulf & Grendel is chronicled in this documentary by Jon Gustafsson, who was hired for a small part in the film. Working under extreme conditions, the cast and crew undergo hardships from nature, including a live volcano, torrential rain and extreme winds. If that is not enough, they have to contend with the man-made difficulties that come with producing an indie film, such as missing paychecks and dried-up financing. The film includes interviews with Beowulf’s director Sturla Gunnarsson and star Gerard Butler.
