The Darkest Hour

The Darkest Hour from 2011 is a science fiction thriller that depicts the invasion of Earth by an extraterrestrial race. The group soon discovers that the aliens are vulnerable to electricity and devise a plan to use Moscow's power grid to defeat the aliens. However, they must venture out into the city, which is now occupied by the aliens, to gather the materials necessary to rig the grid. Along the way, they encounter other survivors who have banded together to avoid being turned to dust by the aliens.

As they move through Moscow, the group has to confront not only the aliens but also their own fears and prejudices. Sean, who is initially dismissive of Natalie's suggestions and Sergei's isolationist views, must learn to trust his instincts and work with his new friends to survive. Natalie, meanwhile, discovers a new strength within herself and proves to be a valuable asset in the group's fight against the aliens.
