Four Brothers

Four brothers come together to find out why their mother Evenlyn Mercer (Fionnula Flanagan), Evenlyn who was well known in her neighborhood, is an elderly woman who doesn't bother anybody. One night Evenlyn went to a convenience store to get a turkey for Thanksgiving. While inside she sees a young boy stealing a candy bar and tells the cashier to call the cops. Evenlyn is only joking but she wanted to scare the young so he wouldn't steal again. After talking to the boy he promises her he will never steal again, and Evenlyn turns around and goes to the back of the store to get the turkey. While she's back there, two people dressed in hoods and holding guns enter convenience store. Evenlyn who is hiding behind a counter hears the robbers tell the clerk to give them money. Once the clerk gives them the money they shoot him then Evenlyn gasp and the robbers hear her and then kill her. Evelyn sons Bobby (Mark Wahlberg), Jeremiah (Andre Benjamin), and Jack Mercer (Garrett Hedlund) all join together to attend their mother's funeral. After the funeral the brothers go to Jeremiahs house for the reception. At his house Bobby and Jack meet Jeremiahs daughters, and let them know that they are their uncles. At the reception Lt. Green tells Bobby that the police department is investigating the murder of Evenlyn, and they have two witnesses that say they say two men running from the convenience store that night. After the reception the brothers drive to their old house and meet, their brother Angel (Tyrese Gibson), who couldn't attend the funeral, because he just came back from the marines. Bobby, Jack, and Jeremiah all argue with Angel because they're mad he didn't attend the funeral. The brothers start to put things together and realize that their mother dead was no accident. They eventually find the people who killed Evenlyn and they kill them. The brothers also find out that the people were hired by a guy named Victor Sweets, who was mad Jeremiah for not wanting to do business with him. Once the brothers go home, Victor sends men to attack them, and in the fight Jack dies. After the death of Jack the brothers decide they will give Victor some of their mother's life insurance. Victor agreed to this and Angel goes after an officer, but his girlfriend rats him out. The cops arrive at the officer's house and kills the officer. Later that night Bobby kill Victor Sweet, and the brothers are taken to jail where they are beat up by cops, but they never tell the cops they killed Victor. The brothers are eventually let go and they are trying to repair they're mothers house and stay close as a family.
