World of Jenks follows 24-year-old filmmaker Andrew Jenks as he travels across the country looking to walk a mile in strangers' shoes. While not literally wearing someone else's shoes, Jenks does spend a week with complete strangers to see how they live – through both good times and bad. Each new episode bring Jenks into a different situation, from standing on the sidelines next to NFL cheerleaders to sleeping on the streets of San Francisco with hundreds of other homeless persons. Though Jenks' time with his subjects is short and episodes are only a half-hour long, World of Jenks tries to present the heart and soul of every subject that's put in front of the camera. As with other similar shows, World of Jenks' aim is not to exploit individuals, but rather to show a wide audience the other side of the tracks, whether glamorous or not.
