Survivorman

Survivorman is an adventure documentary TV series produced by the Discovery Channel and the Science Channel that follows Les Stroud, a Canadian survival expert who utilizes his knowledge of survival skills and nature to survive in remote locations. A filmmaker himself, Les Stroud is dropped alone into each unique situation with only the clothes on his back, the camera equipment, his harmonica, and a multi-tool but no water, food, or weaponry. For seven days, Les puts his knowledge to the test as he deals with the consequences of his decisions, whether he misjudged anything along the way or his techniques were unsuccessful, while also facing the effects of exhaustion and how stressful it is to be in that situation. From being abandoned in the Kalahari Desert where the temperatures reach 140 degrees Fahrenheit to being marooned on a deserted island, Survivorman adapts to each of these life or death situations in order to show you what it takes to survive.
