Teen Mom

Teen Mom is a reality series on MTV that premiered on December 8th, 2009 as a spin-off of the documentary series "16 and Pregnant." The show follows the lives of four young women who originally appeared on "16 and Pregnant" as they navigate their way through the first year of motherhood. You'll meet Farrah Abraham from Council Bluffs Iowa, who tries to juggle raising her daughter Sophia, classes, dating, and a part-time job while trying to distance herself from her overbearing parents. Then there's Maci Bookout, former academic overachiever and cheerleader from Chattanooga, who is in a constant struggle with on-and-off boyfriend, Ryan, to get his support in raising their adorable son, Bentley. Also featured is Amber Portwood, mother of baby Leah, who tries to balance her GED classes and raising her daughter while constantly fighting with Gary, her fiancé. Finally, you'll meet Catelynn Lowell and her long-term boyfriend, Tyler, who made the tough decision to give their baby, Carly, up for adoption. MTV intertwines their stories into eight exciting, one hour-long episodes.
