Full House

Full House is a sitcom that aired on ABC focusing on the Tanners, a family living in San Francisco, California and coping with the recent death of their mother. Father Danny Tanner (Bob Saget) is left to care for this three young daughters, D.J. Tanner (Candace Cameron), Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin), and baby Michelle Tanner (Mary Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen). He asks his brother-in-law Jessie Katsopolis (John Stamos) and his closest friend Jessie Gladstone (Dave Coulier) to move into his spacious house and help him raise his now motherless daughters. Despite the depressing set-up, Full House mostly focused on the good things in life, and the show's comedy often came from mishaps of the three men trying to raise three girls. Episodes touched on all kinds of growing-up topics, such as making friends, sibling rivalry, and even eating disorders. Other recurring characters included D.J.'s friend Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber), Danny's coworker and Jesse's wife, Rebecca Donaldson Katsopolis (Lori Loughlin), and Rebecca and Jesse's twin sons, Nicky and Alex Katsolpolis (Blake Tuomy-Wilhoit and Dylan Tuomy-WIlhoit). Together, this large group of friends become a close-knit family, even with the absence of the Tanner wife. Full House was hugely popular and catapulted the Olsen twins to stardom. The house used for the Tanner house's exterior shots is still a tourist destination for San Francisco visitors. MORE
