Shootout!, a documentary series on The Discovery Channel, featured famous firefights in both contemporary and early America. Narrated by Erik Thompson, the first season was produced by Greystone Communcations, while Flight 33 Productions produced the second season. Some of the featured skirmishes are from World War II, the Vietnam War, the war in Afghanistan, the Wild West, and the present day 'war on terror.' Broadcast in 2005, Shootout! aired 22 episodes over two seasons. Interviews with people involved in some of the present day firefights were interspersed with reenactments of the incident. The show also featured a downloadable first-person shooter video game that enabled players to take part in the famous battles. Episode titles include WWII: Assault on Germany, Battle for Baghdad, North Hollywood shootout, Iraq's Ambush Alley, Battlecry Iraq: Ramadi, Okinawa: The Last Battle of WWII, Tet Offensive, and The Big Red One.
