How It's Made is Discovery Channel Canada's documentary television series where we learn how common everyday items are manufactured. We learn the design, history, and see the manufacturing steps behind items we use and consume every day, examining the process with help of narration. The show examines objects and their materials; carbon fiber bicycles, fiberglass boats, rubber boots, plastic bags, metal golf clubs, vinyl records, and stainless steel sinks. Other episodes focus on food and drink products, like hot dogs, ice cream, candy; popcorn, and beer. Home goods like candles, batteries, and bubble wrap are shown as well industrial goods like cars and airplanes. The show features everything from high tech devices like computers, to handmade instruments like a piano and trumpet.
