Mirage of Blaze

Mirage of Blaze is a Japanese anime television series created by Mizuna Kuwabara. The show is equal parts melodrama, fantasy and romance. Mirage of Blaze centers around the life of Takaya Ohgi (Toshihiko Seki/Richard Cansino), a delinquent high school student who is best friends with Yuzuru Narita. His life changes dramatically when he is approached by a dubious gentleman named Nobtsuna Naoe one day who tells him he is the reincarnation of a samurai lord who used to fight the Feudal Underworld. Naoe, who in actuality is a reborn soul himself, explains to Takaya that he possesses the abilities to exorcise the evil spirits that haunt the modern day world and that he must carry out his duty as a samurai, now that he has been awakened. However, Takaya has great difficulty remembering his previous life as a samurai lord.
