Catch 21

Catch 21 is a television game show that began airing on GSN on July 21, 2008. The host of the show is Alfonso Ribeiro and the card dealer is actress Mikki Padilla. Catch 21 is based on the card game Blackjack. In round one of the show, three contestants are given one card. Alfonso reads the contestants a multiple choice trivia question. The person to ring in and answer the question correctly wins 100 points and has the option of freezing their cards or flipping over the top card of the deck. If the contestant keeps their card, they are given another chance to freeze. The contestant with the highest score at the end of each around moves on the next round and wins 500 points and a power chip to use in the bonus round. The contestant at the end of round two with the lowest amount of points is eliminated and the remaining contestant moves on to the bonus round. In the bonus round, the contestant is given three hands, each with one card. The cards are drawn one at a time and the contestant chooses which hand to put the card on. They can also use a power chip to disregard the card. If the player gets 21 in one hand they get $1,000; two 21s win $5,000; and if 21 is scored on all three hands, the contestant wins $25,000.
