Fear Factor

Fear Factor is the NBC reality competition hosted by Joe Rogan where contestants compete in extreme challenges and stunts. Fear Factor pits contestants against each other to see who can confront their fears in the daring and sometimes disgusting challenges. Like host Joe Rogan says at the beginning of every episode, the stunts are "extremely dangerous and should not be attempted by anyone, anywhere, anytime." Using physical challenges like jumping from buildings, mental challenges like eating gross concoctions, live bugs, or being immersed in disgusting materials, pain endurance challenges like walking on glass and eating habanero peppers, and a final stunt pulled from an action film, Fear Factor stretches the contestants to their limit. With four teams of two contestants with previous relationships, the competitiveness and emotions run high as the Fear Factor players compete for a prize of $50,000.
