In this episode, we enter a world where insects use ultraviolet light to guide them to their food, female elephants rumble well below the range of human hearing to attract a mate miles away, and ball pythons use thermoreceptors on their mouth to detect the radiating heat of its prey, all thanks to their remarkable super senses!

The animal kingdom is full of creatures with astonishing powers. They can carry fifty times their own weight, change their appearance in the blink of an eye, and even walk on water.

Throughout the animal kingdom, the sense of sight has been honed by evolution over millions of years to give creatures that extra edge to meet the challenges of their environment. From the African savanna to the skies of North America to the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea, we examine the role eyesight plays in the wild, including cheetahs, who hunt using their 3D vision, impalas, who detect danger by seeing in panoramic widescreen, pigeons who find food using tetrachromatic vision, and sea urchins whose entire body is one giant compound eye.
