Jon Erwin's early excursions to King David's tomb in Jerusalem ignited his passion for the biblical King David narrative, an interest that remained with him into adulthood and provided the fuel for the writing he began in his youth. His studio, founded alongside Kelly Merryman Hoogstraten, joined forces with Amazon MGM Studios to bring this vision to life, with Amazon's previous success with biblical content whetting their appetite for this ambitious project.
