Street Fighter is a 1994 martial arts film inspired by a video game franchise of the same name by Capcom. The movie features big names like Jean-Claude Van Damme, Raul Julia, and Ming-Na Wen. Street Fighter's soundtrack amps up the adrenaline with its pulsating, synth-heavy tracks that mirror the film's high-energy onscreen action. Combined with spot-on sound effects, particularly during fight scenes, the audio design contributes immensely to the film's vibrant atmosphere.

Despite the liberties it takes from its source material, Street Fighter still manages to incorporate elements familiar to fans of the video game series: the iconic characters, the flamboyant costumes, and, most importantly, the fierce one-on-one battles.

Even though Street Fighter received less than favorable reviews upon its release, it has gained traction over the years, being appreciated for its cheesy dialogues, over-the-top performances, and unabashed devotion to ramped-up action. It serves as an entertaining escapade for anyone looking for a fun, light-hearted and, simultaneously overwhelming action-adventure featuring the spectacle of a video game come to life. The film has fallen into the realm of cult favorites, providing a nostalgic look back to the era of 90s cinema.
