Kunwara Baap

Kunwara Baap is a 1974 Hindi movie directed by Mehmood himself, who also stars along with Bharathi, Aachi Manorama, and several other well-known actors.

The movie revolves around the life of a poor orphan boy named Abdul, played by Mehmood. He is raised by a kind-hearted Muslim woman, who also happens to be a sex worker. However, Abdul grows up and becomes a Muslim fanatic, thanks to the exploits of his mentor Maulvi Sahib (played by Jagdeep).

Kunwara Baap tackles several social issues, including communalism, blind faith, and the need for communal harmony. The movie is also known for its several songs, which are still popular today.
