In the movie Blended, Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore reunite as love interests for the third time since first sharing the screen in The Wedding Singer and later in 50 First Dates. Sandler plays Jim Friedman, a widowed father of three daughters. His failed blind date with Lauren Reynolds, played by Barrymore, is contrasted with her successful one with her ex-husband. Along the way, they begin to realize that they can help each other with their children's problems and slowly develop feelings for each other.
