Bhouri

Bhouri is a Hindi drama film released in 2016, directed by Jasbir Bhaati. The movie depicts the struggles of a poor, lower-caste woman, Bhouri (Masha Pour), who is forced into prostitution by her husband and his family.

Bhouri is a young woman living in a small village in Uttar Pradesh. She is married to Ramsakhi (Raghuvir Yadav), a man who is much older than her and is physically abusive towards her. As Bhouri starts to rebuild her life, fate has other plans for her. Ramsakhi and his family find out that Bhouri has escaped and they start searching for her. They finally find her working for Sharmila, and they demand that she returns to them.

Bhouri is faced with a difficult choice. She can either return to a life of prostitution and abuse or fight for her right to live with dignity. With the help of Sharmila and Akash, Bhouri decides to fight for her rights and take a stand against the patriarchal society that has oppressed her.
