Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!

Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! is the magnum opus of Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim. Since it's premiere on Cartoon Network's adult swim on February 11, 2007, "Awesome Show", as it's more colloquially known, has delivered some of the strangest and most conceptual comedy since television's invention. Tim and Eric started making short films together in their college days at Philadelphia's Temple University. It wasn't long before adult swim gave them their first TV show, "Tom Goes to the Mayor," a sit-com of sorts featuring very limited animation. Almost immediately after the cancellation of "Tom Goes to the Mayor," adult swim placed an order for another show, a sketch show...kind of. "Awesome Show" is hard to explain. It's comprised of fake advertisements, character pieces, songs, and things that can only be described as "other." Each episode's cast is made of Tim, Eric, a few celebrity guests, and a group of regulars who are obviously non-actors. Sometimes it's hard to watch; sometimes it's hard to comprehend. "Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job!" is definitely a puzzle, but a magnificent one. MORE
