The Event

The Event is a 2010 NBC science fiction/conspiracy thriller from creator Nick Wauters and starring Jason Ritter, Sarah Roemer, and Blair Underwood in a story about the biggest political cover-up in the history of the United States and the people who expose the mystery Jason Ritter plays Sean Walker, a whip-smart young man and self-proclaimed nerd who enjoyed his life of video game programming and computer science with his beautiful fiancee, Leila. When Leila goes missing, Sean uses his computer savvy and intellect to track her down. In doing so, however, he begins to dig up clues that seem to hint at the impossible-a massive United States conspiracy to hide a mysterious presence from the public. As Sean learns of this unbelievable plot, so does United States President Elias Martinez (Underwood) who shockingly discovers that even his position as President doesn't give him clearance to know all there is to know. The Event is an all-new kind of action/adventure series that Emmy Award-winning executive producer Evan Kantz promises will maintain a comfortable balance between questions and answers. MORE
