The Voice

The Voice is the NBC reality competition series that launches a search for America's best singing voice. Hit-making reality show pioneers John de Mol, Mark Burnett and Warner Horizon Television are set to bring the success of Holland's "The Voice of Holland" to American shores, going on a national search for singers that have real talent and the personality to leave a lasting impression. The producers are having auditions in Chicago, New York, Miami, Nashville, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Austin, looking for singers with great voices, a unique sound and a spectacular attitude. Any and all styles of music are welcome, and if selected the singers are mentored by industry professionals. The singers begin with the blind audition, where the coach must push a button to select the singers without seeing them. When the coaches have their teams set, they go head to head singing the same songs, and some will be sent packing. In the end the top contestants compete and the viewers at home can vote, and one will take home a recording contract and the be named The Voice. MORE
