Superman: The Animated Series is a 1996 cartoon series released by Kids WB based on the popular DC Comics superhero icon. While Superman: The Animated Series is not as good as the Batman and JLA series, the difference in quality is negligible. This is a remarkable cartoon show that is probably even more enjoyable for adults then it is for children due to the sly humor and occasional darkness that marks this as the best adaptation of the character ever. The writers actually take the time to show viewers who Superman is, where he came from and how he came to terms with his powers and becoming the Man of Steel. The cast of voices is very well done i.e Tim Daly (Wings, Storm of the Century) as Superman and Clancy Brown as Lex Luther. Batman even makes a guest appearance in a brilliant episode and you see some classic villains such as Metallo, Dark Side and The Joker.MORE
