Celebrity Poker Showdown

Celebrity Poker Showdown was a celebrity game show from Bravo featuring five celebrities facing off in a game of No Limit Texas Hold’em from the Palms Casino in Las Vegas, with the winner taking home a slice of the $250,000 prize pool for the charity of their choice. Each game consisted of five celebrities vying for poker supremacy, with each loser moving on to the “Loser’s Lounge” to have a drink and provide commentary for the rest of the match. The winners from each game competed against each other in a champion’s tournament, with the winner taking home the grand prize. Well-known champion’s tournament winners included Jason Alexander, Brad Garrett, Mekhi Phifer, Seth Meyers, Maura Tierney, and Nicole Sullivan. The show was hosted by a variety of different personalities, most notably the tandem of Dave Foley and Phil Gordon. Phil Hellmuth, Robert Thompson, and Kevin Pollak also took turns in the commentator’s booth. All of the games were officiated by the Palms Casino’s Robert Thompson, whose catchphrase “Shuffle up and deal!” became a fan favorite. MORE
