The World Unseen

Set in 1950s South Africa, The World Unseen is a romantic drama that follows the lives of two women, Amina and Miriam, as they navigate the complexities of race, gender, and sexuality in a society that is deeply divided by apartheid.

Amina, played by Sheetal Sheth, is a young and ambitious Indian woman who manages her father's cafe in the strictly segregated community of Cape Town. She is engaged to be married to a man she does not love in order to satisfy her family's expectations, but she is secretly drawn to Miriam, played by Lisa Ray, a quiet and reserved South African woman who is married to a man named Omar, played by Parvin Dabas.

Despite their differences in background and culture, Amina and Miriam find themselves irresistibly attracted to each other, and they begin a tender and passionate affair that threatens to upend their lives and the lives of those around them.
