The Liberators: Why We Fought

On April 29, 1945, allied troops liberated the nearby Munich located concentration camp Dachau. This was a moving event - for both the survivors and the often still very young soldiers of the US troops. The German HISTORY in-house production devotes itself in a one-hour documentary to this story from the American Liberators' point of view. Therefore contemporary witnesses step in some cases for the first time in front of the camera and tell their personal experiences.
