The Fanatic

The Fanatic is a 2019 thriller film, directed by Fred Durst and stars John Travolta as a socially awkward man named Moose, who is a huge fan of action star Hunter Dunbar (played by Devon Sawa). Moose often stalks Dunbar outside his Hollywood home in hopes of catching a glimpse of him.

He crosses the line when he breaks into Dunbar's home, steals some of his belongings, and terrorizes Dunbar and his family.

The movie portrays the consequences of dangerous stalker-like behavior, and how it can escalate from being an innocent fan to something much more sinister. It also touches on the difficulties and hardships that individuals with learning disabilities have to face on a daily basis.
