The Dust Factory

The Dust Factory is a 2004 fantasy film that follows the journey of a young teenager named Ryan Flynn (Ryan Kelley) who's struggling to come to terms with the death of his father. One day, while riding his bike, Ryan falls off a bridge and finds himself in a mysterious world called the Dust Factory where he comes across his friend, Melanie (Hayden Panettiere), who died in an accident some time ago.

Melanie takes Ryan on a journey through this strange world where they encounter a wise old man named Grandpa Randolph (Armin Mueller-Stahl) who acts as their guide. He explains to Ryan that the Dust Factory is a place where souls come to find their purpose before they move on to the afterlife.
